Fishing tips for the Kitsap Peninsula

Washington is full of some of the best fishing spots in the country. Here’s what you need to know before casting your line.

Where can I obtain fishing licenses in Kitsap County?

Before you get going, you do need to make sure you are prepared with the proper licensing because you can get fined. The best local store to prepare yourself is Sportsman’s Warehouse located at 9577 Ridgetop Blvd NW #150, Silverdale, WA 98383. They are open 7 days a week (except holidays) and are packed full of all the fishing, hunting, and outdoor necessities you could need. They also sell fishing licenses at their checkout registers. Residents and non-residents alike must have a license to fish or collect shellfish in Washington waters. Anyone 15 and older will need a license to avoid a fine.   Anglers 14 years and younger do not need a fishing license, though catch record cards are still required for certain species.
